Description
"SolaX TP-HS36" is a single LFP battery module of the "T-BAT-SYS-HV-S3.6" family: 3.6 kWh, 72 Ah, 51.2 V nominal voltage, 510 × 365 × 152 mm, 34 kg. It is the expansion unit: it increases the capacity of an existing HS36 tower or, together with the separately sold "TBMS-MCS0800" controller, makes up a new system. One module does not work on its own – it needs the controller and at least two modules in the system.
How expansion works
The module is placed on top of the existing tower under the controller: the connections between modules are integrated, no cables need to be connected, and the box contains only 4 M4×14 screws with gaskets. Each added module raises the tower by 137.5 mm, adds 3.6 kWh of capacity and 51.2 V of nominal voltage, and at the same time increases the rated power by 1.8 kW (35 A). Before connection the new module must be charged to the voltage level of the existing system – this is done during installation following the manufacturer's extension procedure.
How many modules are possible
From 2 to 13 modules (7.4–47.9 kWh) are connected to one controller. According to the latest manual one tower holds up to 10 modules; the 11th module requires a second tower and a separately purchased "Series Box". The inverter's voltage window must also be checked: for single-phase "X1-Hybrid G3/G4" the manufacturer specifies at most 8 modules, for three-phase "X3-Hybrid G2/G4" and "X3-Ultra" up to 13.
Manufacturer's conditions for expansion
At the first installation the production dates of all modules must differ by no more than 3 months. Adding to an already running system is suggested in the "SolaX" warranty terms within a year of installation following the manufacturer's battery extension procedure, so if you plan to increase capacity, it is better to plan for it from the start. The same 90% depth-of-discharge limit and more than 6,000 cycles apply to each module.
Environment and safety
IP65 enclosure, charging from 0 °C, discharging from −20 °C, with the heating function enabled from −30 °C; 95% round-trip efficiency. LFP cells, certificates IEC 62619 and UN38.3; transported as UN 3480 cargo.
Warranty
The EU warranty is 10 years on the hardware together with the system in which the module is installed; at least 70% of nominal energy or 11.2 MWh of throughput for this module is guaranteed, whichever is reached first. Under the terms of the planned 2026 APVA call, the compensation is calculated per capacity (170 €/kWh, up to 15 kWh).
