Description
The Dyness Tower Pro TP7 is the smallest configuration of the high-voltage (HV) Tower Pro system: two 3.84 kWh modules on the base with the BDU controller (BMS) on top, 7.68 kWh in total (7.296 kWh usable). It suits a home with a solar plant of roughly 3–6 kW that needs to cover evening and night consumption without paying for capacity the sun could not fill during the day. The tower is only 778 mm tall, so it fits under the inverter in a garage or boiler room.
A two-module tower – and the start of a bigger system
TP7 works in the 168–216 V range and delivers up to 7.68 kW (1C) – enough for typical evening consumption; the actual power is limited by your hybrid inverter. Most importantly, it is not a final decision: when consumption grows or you install a heat pump, 3.84 kWh modules are added on the same base up to 6 (23.04 kWh). Expansion is possible within 3 years of commissioning (Dyness recommends within 2; later only after prior agreement with Dyness technical support), only with identical HV9640 modules whose production dates differ by no more than 3 years, and after the manufacturer's state-of-charge matching procedure – carried out by the installer.
Installation and location
Modules stack on top of each other without internal cables – the connectors mate as the module is placed. The IP55 enclosure and the operating temperature limits allow the tower to stand in an unheated room: discharge from −10 °C (from −20 °C per the manufacturer's 2026 datasheet), charge from 0 °C; with the optional heating function both from −20 °C. The base and the control unit are fixed to the wall as the manual requires (brackets and anchor bolts are included), and the included 2 m power and communication cables mean the tower stands next to the inverter. Dimensions 587 × 310 × 778 mm, weight 109.5 kg (per the manufacturer's 2026 datasheet).
Inverter compatibility
Tower Pro is on the 2026 Dyness compatibility list; the TP7 configuration is marked there with Kostal, Ingeteam, Solis, GoodWe, SAJ, Deye, Solinteg and Kaco inverters (Hoymiles from TP11); it communicates with the inverter over CAN or RS485. On the Dyness list TP7 is marked with Solis S6-EH3P(3–10)K-H (PRO) and S6-EH3P(12–20)K-H hybrid inverters; on the 12–20 kW models the battery option “Dyness HV” is selected, and for the 3–10 kW model we check the exact variant and firmware against your inverter label before ordering.
Safety and warranty
LiFePO4 cells, a built-in aerosol fire-suppression system, passive cell balancing by the BMS, at least 8,000 charge cycles (0.2C, 25 °C, 95 % DoD, to 70 % EOL) and a 10-year manufacturer's warranty – valid with a compatible inverter and active BMS communication (3 years without it); after registration on the Dyness website an extension to 15 years can be purchased (subject to Dyness conditions). In previous APVA calls, compensation was calculated per kWh of battery capacity and granted to those already installed, and the funds ran out within a day, so it pays to install and prepare the documents in advance; the conditions of the new call will be published by APVA (the Energy Ministry's 2026 call plan mentions a rate of 170 €/kWh).
