Description

The Dyness STACK100-8S is an eight-module high-voltage (HV) LiFePO4 battery: 40.96 kWh nominal capacity, 38.91 kWh usable energy (95% DOD). It is the configuration for a shop with refrigerators, a petrol station or a joinery workshop with a 30–40 kW solar plant whose daytime surplus has to carry the site through to the morning. Indoor installation (IP20), tower height 1,302 mm.

Capacity and power

Eight modules operate in the 358–467 V range. Recommended charge and discharge power is 20.48 kW (0.5C), with short peaks up to 40.96 kW (1C) – the 8S is the smallest variant that serves a 20 kW hybrid inverter (e.g. the top model of the Solis S6-EH3P(12-20)K-H) at the recommended rate. The tower has room for 4 more modules (up to 12 per column recommended).

Installation and location

Dimensions 591 × 390 × 1,302 mm, weight 398 kg – almost 400 kg on 0.23 m² of floor, so the base is worth assessing in advance. Cable-free assembly by two people; the tower is secured to the wall with the brackets supplied. Charging from 0 °C, discharging from −20 °C (the heated version charges from −20 °C), fan cooling up to 55 dB.

Inverter compatibility

From the 8S the Dyness list (12/2025) no longer contains the 3–6 kW-class models (Ingeteam 3TL–6TLM, SAJ H2-3K~6K-S2, Sineng SN-3.0~6.0HS, Dunext NI HV3.0-6.0). The 8S is marked with Solis S6-EH3P (3–10, 12–20, 29.9–50 and 75–125 kW) and RHI-3P(5-10)K-HVES-5G, Deye SUN-5K~25K, 29.9–50 and 60–80 kW, GoodWe GW6-15K-ET-20, GW15~30K-ET and GW40-50K-ET-10, Growatt WIT 29.9~50K-XHU, Kostal PLENTICORE G2 / G3, Hoymiles HY3 / HYT / HAT, Solinteg MHS and MHT, SAJ H2-5K~10K-T2, ATESS, Sinexcel, Koyoe, Sermatec, Sineng, Senergy, Sunways, Dunext, Livoltek, Megarevo. Hoymiles HY3, Solinteg MHS and Sunways STH-3~8K are marked with the 8S for the last time – the 9S is no longer suitable for them. Communication is CAN or RS485; whether your inverter is marked for the 8S we check against its label before you order.

Safety and warranty

Guaranteed are 120.72 MWh of throughput or at least 70% of usable energy after 10 years – whichever is reached first, and only with an active BMS connection to the inverter (3 years without it). LiFePO4 cells, more than 8,000 cycles (0.2C, 25 °C, 95% DOD), an aerosol extinguisher in every module.
