Description

The Dyness STACK100-5S is a five-module high-voltage (HV) LiFePO4 battery: 25.6 kWh nominal capacity, 24.32 kWh usable energy (95% DOD). This is the point where the battery grows from a household unit into a small-business tool: the 5S suits a larger home with a heat pump and two EVs, a café or a farm building with a 15–20 kW solar plant. Indoor installation (IP20), tower height 901 mm.

Capacity and power

Five modules operate in the 224–292 V range. Recommended charge and discharge power is 12.8 kW (0.5C), with short peaks up to 25.6 kW (1C) – a 15 kW hybrid inverter works between the battery's recommended and maximum rates. The same tower still has room for 7 more modules.

Commercial inverters from the 5S

From five modules the Dyness list adds GoodWe GW15~30K-ET and GW40-50K-ET-10, Growatt WIT 29.9~50K-XHU, SAJ H2-5K~10K-T2, Koyoe KY-EST-6K~10KH and 12~20KH, and Sermatec SMT-10K-TL-TH. For the GoodWe GW15~30K-ET, GW40-50K-ET-10 and Growatt WIT 29.9~50K-XHU the 5S is the smallest STACK100 configuration marked (the Deye and Solis 29.9–50 kW models are marked from the 4S already). Almost all 4S models remain (except the Ingeteam 100TL): Deye SUN-5K~25K and 29.9–50 kW, Solis S6-EH3P 3–50 kW, Kostal PLENTICORE G2 / G3, Hoymiles, Solinteg MHS and MHT, Ingeteam 3TL–6TLM, Sineng, Senergy, Sunways, Dunext, Livoltek, Megarevo. Communication is CAN or RS485; we check your inverter model against its label before you order.

Installation and location

Dimensions 591 × 390 × 901 mm, weight 257 kg – a level floor, two-person assembly, no cables between modules, wall brackets included. Charging from 0 °C, discharging from −20 °C (the heated version charges from −20 °C). Fan cooling (up to 55 dB) allows 1C operation; keep 300 mm on the fan side to the next tower, 500 mm to other equipment and 200 mm above the tower.

Safety and warranty

If the 5S is expanded later, the Dyness rules apply: modules are added within 3 years of commissioning and the charge levels are equalised before connection – otherwise the warranty may be voided. The warranty is 10 years in Europe with an active inverter connection (3 years without it), at least 70% of usable energy or 75.45 MWh of throughput. Under the terms of previous APVA calls, the grant is calculated on capacity (170 €/kWh, up to 15 kWh).
