Description

The Solplanet ASW20K-LT-G2 Pro is the largest model in the series: a 20 kW three-phase grid inverter accepting up to 30 kWp of modules in four strings. It is meant for a farm, a production workshop, a shop, a warehouse or the common services of an apartment building, where daily consumption reaches tens of kilowatt-hours and the connection capacity allows 20 kW. It feeds up to 31.9 A per phase into a 3/N/PE 400 V grid; the enclosure is the same as for the whole series – 503 × 183 × 435 mm, 17 kg, IP66, fan-cooled. No battery can be connected to this inverter.

30 kWp on two MPPTs

Both inputs take two strings each, 32 A operating and 48 A short-circuit current, so 30 kWp fits into four strings and two different orientations work separately. Full power is delivered at a string voltage of 400–850 V, MPPT range 150–1 000 V, maximum voltage 1 100 V. The 150 % oversizing is useful in autumn and winter, when the modules work far below their rated power, while at summer noon the inverter caps output at 20 kW. For a larger plant several inverters are installed – one communication dongle monitors up to 5 units.

Why the 20K rather than the 17K

Same enclosure, same inputs and four pairs of PV connectors in the box, but 3 kW more AC power and 4.5 kWp more modules. When the connection and permit allow 20 kW, the 20K uses the same mounting spot at full power; the 17K is for those capped at 17 kW. It differs from the 15K by the fourth string and 32 A on input B. Efficiency 98.6 % (European 98.2 %), night-time consumption below 1 W.

Communication and export limiting

LED indicators, the Solplanet app (Android, iOS) through a Wi-Fi or LAN dongle in the COM3 port, 4G optional. We confirm whether the dongle is in the box when you order. A Modbus RTU meter such as the Eastron SDM630-Modbus is connected over RS485 (RJ45, up to 100 m) – the inverter limits feed-in to the grid down to zero when the site has no export permit.

Mounting, protections and warranty

Wall bracket, vertical or tilted back by up to 15°, clearances 500 mm above and below, 300 mm at the sides; operation from −25 °C to +60 °C (above 40 °C output may be derated). Integrated DC switch, type II surge protection on the DC and AC sides, residual-current, DC reverse-polarity, AC short-circuit and anti-islanding protection. Warranty per AISWEI terms – 5 or 10 years as agreed in the purchase contract, extendable to 20 years.
