Description

The Solplanet ASW17K-LT-G2 Pro is a 17 kW three-phase grid inverter that accepts four strings and up to 25.5 kWp of modules. It is the choice when the connection capacity or permit does not allow 20 kW but you need the flexibility of the 20 kW model: two strings in each MPPT and 32 A on both inputs. It feeds up to 27.1 A per phase into a 3/N/PE 400 V grid; the 17 kg IP66 fan-cooled enclosure is hung on a wall outdoors or in a technical room. No battery can be connected to this inverter.

Four strings for a complex roof

Both MPPT inputs are symmetrical – two strings each, 32 A operating and 48 A short-circuit current. This lets you fill two planes with two identical strings each or, if the roof is divided, give each MPPT one larger and one smaller string. Full power is delivered at a string voltage of 400–850 V, MPPT range 150–1 000 V, maximum voltage 1 100 V. For a workshop, a farm or a multi-family house this allows 25.5 kWp to be split into four shorter strings.

17 or 20 kW

Both models share the same enclosure, weight, inputs and four pairs of PV connectors in the box; they differ only in AC power (17 and 20 kW), phase current (27.1 and 31.9 A) and permitted module power (25.5 and 30 kWp). Choose the 17K when the connection or permit caps you at 17 kW or no more than 25.5 kWp of modules is planned; otherwise the 20K gives more power in the same enclosure. It differs from the 15K by the fourth string and 32 A on input B instead of 20 A.

Communication and export limiting

LED indicators, the Solplanet app through a Wi-Fi or LAN dongle in the COM3 port (4G optional); one dongle monitors up to 5 inverters and is also used for firmware updates. We confirm whether the dongle is in the box when you order. A Modbus RTU meter is connected over RS485 (RJ45) – feed-in to the grid is limited down to zero.

Mounting, protections and warranty

Wall bracket, vertical or tilted back by up to 15°, clearances 500 mm above and below, 300 mm at the sides; operation from −25 °C to +60 °C, efficiency 98.6 % (European 98.2 %). Integrated DC switch, type II surge protection on the DC and AC sides, residual-current and anti-islanding protection; certificates EN 50549, IEC 62109, IEC 62116. Warranty per AISWEI terms – 5 or 10 years as agreed in the purchase contract, extendable to 20 years.
