Description

The SolaX X3-Hybrid-10.0-D is a 10 kW (up to 11 kVA) three-phase hybrid inverter, the most often chosen G4 model for a home with a heat pump: in the evening it feeds heating, kitchen and household at the same time, and during the day it stores the surplus of an array up to 20 kWp in one high-voltage battery. Compared with the 6 kW model it gains a fan, a second string on the first MPPT and more grid-charging power; it differs from the 10 kW PRO by its single battery port, two MPPTs and IP65 housing.

Array: three strings on two MPPTs

The first MPPT takes two strings (up to 28 A, short-circuit 35 A), the second one string (16 A / 20 A). This lets three string groups connect to the inverter, e.g. two identical rows of the south roof to PV1 and an east or west plane to PV2. MPPT window 180–950 V, start-up from 200 V, maximum recommended array 20 kWp (200 %). Solar energy travels to the battery at 98.5 % efficiency.

Battery: how many modules for 10 kW

One battery port, 120–800 V, up to 30 A, lithium or lead-acid battery. Battery power is current × voltage, so for the storage to deliver the full 10 kW the tower's nominal voltage must reach about 330 V – that is 7 modules of T-BAT SYS-HV-S36 (25.8 kWh, 358.4 V) or 7 modules of TSYS-HS51 (35.8 kWh). With 4–5 modules the battery will deliver 6–7.7 kW and the grid covers the rest. At night on the cheaper tariff the inverter can draw up to 20 kVA (32 A per phase) from the grid for the battery.

Backup

When the grid fails the EPS output takes over 10 kVA in less than 10 ms, and up to 18 kVA for 10 seconds for motor starts. For whole-house switching we offer the X3-EPS Box. Unbalanced output – up to 5 kW on one phase.

Installation and safety

Housing 503 × 503 × 199 mm, 30 kg, IP65; fan-cooled (noise up to 45 dB) – a garage, a boiler room or an outdoor wall under a canopy. Operating temperature −35 °C to +60 °C (derating above 45 °C), Type II SPD on the DC and AC side, DC switch, insulation and residual-current monitoring.
