Description

The SolaX X3-Hybrid-6.0-D is the smallest three-phase hybrid inverter of the G4 family: 6 kW rated power (up to 6.6 kVA), two MPPT inputs and one high-voltage battery port. It is meant for a home with a 6–12 kWp solar array whose evening loads – lighting, appliances, a water heater – stay below 6 kW and whose permitted generating power is 6 kW. It is the only G4 model without a fan, so it can also hang next to living rooms.

Array and strings

Up to 12 kWp of modules can be connected (200 % oversizing): the 6 kW output limit clips the peaks at summer noon, but in spring, autumn and on cloudy days a larger array yields more energy to charge the battery. Both MPPT inputs take one string each up to 16 A (short-circuit up to 20 A), MPPT window 180–950 V, start-up from 200 V – two roof planes, e.g. south and west, work independently. To charge the battery from the grid the inverter can draw up to 12 kVA (19.3 A per phase).

Battery and backup

The battery port works in the 120–800 V range at up to 30 A; lithium and lead-acid batteries are accepted. Since the inverter output is 6 kW, the 30 A port does not limit it: a four-module T-BAT SYS-HV-S36 tower (14.7 kWh, 204.8 V nominal) delivers about 6 kW at nominal voltage, so even a small tower powers the whole house. When the grid fails the EPS output takes over a 6 kVA load in less than 10 ms and lifts it to 12 kVA for 10 s to start a fridge compressor or a pump; for whole-house backup the X3-EPS Box is connected to the inverter. Unbalanced output – up to 5 kW on one phase.

Installation and location

Housing 503 × 503 × 199 mm, 30 kg, IP65 – suitable for a garage, a boiler room or an outdoor wall under a canopy. Natural cooling, noise below 35 dB. Operating temperature −35 °C to +60 °C, power derating above 45 °C. Type II SPD on the DC and AC side, DC switch, residual-current and insulation monitoring.

The official SolaX list contains T-BAT SYS-HV-S36 (with X3 G4 – 4–13 modules), TSYS-HS51 (3–13 modules), T-BAT H 3.0 (2–4 modules) and T-BAT H 5.8 (2–4 modules, more with the BMS Parallel Box). Communication – RS485, DRM, a CT sensor or a meter; monitoring in SolaX Cloud via the Pocket Wi-Fi + LAN dongle. Warranty 5 years, 10 years once connected to SolaX Cloud and registered.
