Description

The Dyness S51314 is a single battery module of the STACK314 system: 16.08 kWh nominal capacity, 15.28 kWh usable energy (95% DOD), 51.2 V nominal voltage, 314 Ah. The module is meant for expanding an existing STACK314 system – each added module increases the capacity by 16.08 kWh and the voltage by 51.2 V. It does not work on its own: the system needs the SBDU200 controller and at least 3 modules, at most 15 in one string.

How expansion works

The module is simply stacked onto the existing column: the top and bottom carry the power, 24 V and communication connectors, so no internal wiring is needed. Up to 8 modules fit in one column – the ninth and further ones need a second column with the expansion kit (base, cover, linking cables). Adding a module changes the system's voltage window, so before you order we check that the new module count is in the Dyness list next to your inverter model – for example, Solis S6-EH3P(3–10)K-H is marked only up to 10 modules.

Manufacturer's expansion conditions

Dyness allows the system to be expanded within 3 years of commissioning (2 recommended), and the production dates of the modules may differ by no more than 3 years. Before connecting, the charge levels are equalised: the existing system is charged to 100% and discharged to the new module's level, or the new module is charged with a DC charger (57.6 V, 100 A). Expansion after more than 2 years or in parallel systems must be agreed with the manufacturer's technical support; unauthorised expansion may void the warranty.

Installation and location

Dimensions 770 × 425 × 230.5 mm, weight 115 kg – two people are needed to lift it. IP20, indoor installation only; charging from 0 °C, discharging from −20 °C. The package contains the module, 4 M5×30 screws and a packing list. It is transported under UN38.3 requirements and stored long-term at 50–55% charge.

Safety and warranty

Sixteen LiFePO4 cells of 3.2 V / 314 Ah, a separate aerosol fire extinguisher in the module, cell balancing through the system BMS, more than 8,000 cycles (0.2C, 25 °C, 95% DOD). The manufacturer's warranty is 10 years under the Dyness warranty terms; the added module is registered through the Dyness app.
