Teltonika TeltoCharge 22 kW with a Type 2 socket (code EVC120000000) is the most powerful socket version: it draws up to 32 A on three phases and delivers up to 22 kW, or up to 7.4 kW on one phase. It is the choice for a semi-public place – a company car park, an apartment-block yard, a guest house – where different cars plug in, and for a home with a single-phase car or a car that has a 22 kW on-board charger.

Who needs 22 kW

Only cars with a 22 kW on-board AC charger take the full 22 kW; for a car that accepts 11 kW both versions charge at the same rate. The key advantage of the 22 kW version is 32 A per phase: a single-phase EV or hybrid charges here at up to 7.4 kW, twice as fast as from the 11 kW station. 32 A per phase is a serious load, so dynamic load management with an external Modbus RS-485 meter is practically a must here: the station tracks the total consumption, lowers the current and when less than 6 A is left on a phase switches to single-phase mode.

Socket, lock and authorisation

A Type 2 socket (IEC 62196-2) suits places with many drivers: everyone brings their own cable and no lead is left hanging. Only the socket version has the cable-lock setting – you can lock the cable in the socket even when not charging. Authorisation is by app or NFC cards, one for each user; over OCPP 1.6 JSON the station connects to an operator platform, and the UnlockConnector command (socket versions only) releases the connector remotely. This code has no GSM modem – internet comes over Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz or Ethernet (RJ45); the modem version (EVC120100000) is a separate product.

Solar system

With a supported meter that measures current flowing to the grid, the Solar only (surplus only, from 6 A), ECO and ECO+ modes work. A separate support call is planned for private charging stations; the previous programme required dynamic load management.

Installation and safety

The housing is 170 × 94 × 341 mm, 2.8 kg, IP56 / IK10, from −30 °C to +50 °C; it mounts on a wall at three points or on a TeltoCharge pole (sold separately). The supply cable is 6–7.5 mm² (ferrules included); the line needs an external Type B residual current device and overcurrent protection (at least 32 A, the manufacturer recommends 40 A); these and the front plate are not in the box. Built-in 30 mA AC / 6 mA DC residual current monitoring; warranty 36 months from the date of purchase.
