Description

The Solis S6-EH3P20K-H is the most powerful member of the family, a three-phase 20 kW hybrid inverter for a high-voltage (120–800 V) battery. It is intended for a business, a farm or a large house with a 20 kW permit and a 20–32 kW array, or as a building block for a larger system – six inverters in parallel deliver 120 kW. The enclosure is the same as on the 15 kW model – the power, currents and array size differ. IP66, wall-mounted in a technical room or outdoors.

Power for a business array

Rated power 20 kW (20 kVA), output current 30.4 A per phase – the highest in the family. Four MPPTs with one 20 A string each allow the modules to be spread over several roof slopes: up to 32 kW is taken, up to 40 kW is recommended for connection; full power at 300–850 V, input up to 1,000 V. The surplus helps a workshop or warehouse keep generating on overcast days.

Battery, backup and generator

Battery window 120–800 V, current up to 50 A, charging power up to 20 kW – full power only with storage of at least 400 V, we choose the number of modules according to the power. Backup switches over in under 10 ms (in a parallel system – 20 ms), delivers 20 kW, and according to the datasheet withstands a 1.6-times overload for 10 s; up to 8 kW per phase (40 %). A generator of up to 20 kW is connected to the GEN port and started by a dry contact; TOU, SG Ready and EMS/VPP are supported.

Compatibility and parallel operation

In the Solis list (GLOBAL-V3.6), the S6-EH3P(12-20)K-H is listed with BYD Battery-Box Premium HVS/HVM/HVL, Pylontech Force H1/H2/H3, Dyness Tower, Tower Pro and PowerRack HV, LG, Pytes HV48100/HV48300 and other batteries; communication is CAN-BMS or RS485. Up to 6 inverters of the same model are connected in parallel, each with its own storage, because the battery port is not shared between inverters. An incompatible battery voids the warranty.

Installation at a business site

The enclosure is as on the 15 kW model – 563 × 250 × 546 mm (width × depth × height), 35.2 kg. The fans produce up to 65 dB – install it in a switchroom, a technical room or outdoors; operates at −25 to +60 °C. 7-inch LCD, Wi-Fi and LAN built in – the unit joins the site network and SolisCloud; the box contains a datalogger and an Eastron meter or current clamps, and more than three parallel inverters need a separate meter kit. Warranty in Europe – 5 years, extension under Solis terms.
