Description

The Solis S6-EH3P12K-H-EU(21A) is a three-phase 12 kW hybrid inverter for a high-voltage (120–700 V) battery. It is the same compact platform as the 10 kW model – fanless, with an LED indicator – but for a home whose permitted generating capacity is 12 kW and whose array reaches 16–19 kW. Choose it when 10 kW is no longer enough and the fans and generator port of the 15 kW model are not needed. The IP66 enclosure is wall-mounted indoors or outdoors.

Highest string current in the family

Rated power 12 kW (12 kVA), output current 18.2 A per phase. Four MPPTs with one string each accept 21 A (short-circuit – 31.5 A) – more than the 15 and 20 kW models (20 A), so it suits higher-current modules. Full power in the 250–850 V range, input up to 1,000 V; up to 19.2 kW is used from the modules, and no more than 24 kW is recommended for connection.

Backup for a home with a heat pump

Battery window 120–700 V – wider than on the 10 kW model; power up to 12 kW, current up to 50 A, the full 12 kW – only with a higher-voltage battery. When the grid fails, backup is restored in under 10 ms, and 12 kW is enough for the heat pump and kitchen appliances at the same time; the 1.6-times overload for 60 s covers starting currents. Up to 6 kW per phase, so spread single-phase appliances across the phases; up to 27.3 A per phase is drawn from the grid. There is no GEN port, a generator is connected via an ATS; in parallel – up to 6 identical inverters, each with its own battery.

Battery compatibility

The battery list is the same as for the 10 kW model: in the Solis list (GLOBAL-V3.6), the S6-EH3P(3-12)K-H-EU group is approved with BYD Battery-Box Premium HVS/HVM, Pylontech Force H1/H2/H3, Dyness Tower, Tower Pro and PowerRack HV, LG, Pytes; BMS communication is CAN or RS485. An incompatible battery voids the warranty – we check the model before ordering.

Installation, communication and warranty

The enclosure is as on the 10 kW model: according to the manufacturer manual 563 × 209 × 412 mm (width × depth × height; the datasheet gives a depth of 230 mm), 34.5 kg. Fanless, up to 46.9 dB – it can hang in a boiler room next to living spaces; operates at −25 to +60 °C, IP66 suits outdoors too. LED indicator, settings via Bluetooth and SolisCloud; for online monitoring – a separately ordered Solis datalogger. The power exceeds 10 kW, so the warranty in Europe is 5 years, with extension under Solis terms.
