Description

The Solis S6-EH3P10K-H-EU is a three-phase 10 kW hybrid inverter for a high-voltage (120–600 V) battery. It is the variant for an ordinary home whose permitted generating capacity is 10 kW and where a 10–16 kW array is planned on the roof; the only S6-EH3P-H model with a 10-year manufacturer warranty. The fanless IP66 enclosure is wall-mounted in a garage, boiler room or outdoors.

Power and array size

Rated power 10 kW (10 kVA), output current 15.2 A per phase. Four MPPT trackers with one string each accept 16 A (short-circuit – 24 A); full power is reached in the 250–850 V range, the input is up to 1,000 V. Up to 16 kW is used from the modules, and no more than 20 kW is recommended for connection; strings can be split over several roof orientations. If the array is larger or the evening loads exceed 10 kW, choose the 12 kW variant – the same platform, but with 21 A string current.

Battery and backup power

Battery window 120–600 V (up to 700 V permitted), charge and discharge power up to 10 kW, current up to 50 A – the full 10 kW is reached only with a higher-voltage battery. When the grid fails, the backup line switches over in under 10 ms, delivers 10 kW and withstands a 1.6-times overload for 60 s; up to 5 kW per phase. The inverter draws up to 22.7 A per phase from the grid. A generator is connected on the grid side via an ATS; up to 6 identical inverters are connected in parallel, each with a separate battery.

Battery compatibility

In the official Solis list (GLOBAL-V3.6), the S6-EH3P(3-12)K-H-EU is listed with BYD Battery-Box Premium HVS/HVM, Pylontech Force H1/H2/H3, Dyness Tower, Tower Pro TP7–TP19 and PowerRack HV, LG, Pytes and other batteries; BMS communication is CAN or RS485. An incompatible battery voids the inverter warranty, so we check the storage model before ordering.

Installation, communication and warranty

According to the manufacturer manual, dimensions 563 × 209 × 412 mm (width × depth × height), weight 34.7 kg; noise up to 46.9 dB, operates at −25 to +60 °C. Status is shown by an LED, settings are made via Bluetooth and the SolisCloud app; online monitoring requires a separately purchased Solis datalogger (Wi-Fi, LAN or 4G). The box contains the plate, current clamps, an Eastron meter, plugs and a CAN cable. Built-in DC switch; AFCI and Type II surge arresters are optional. Manufacturer warranty in Europe – 10 years.
