Description
Teltonika EVC 2 11 kW with a Type 2 socket is the base configuration of this series for a home (manufacturer code EVC2001100S0). On three phases the station delivers up to 11 kW (16 A per phase); connected to a single-phase supply, 3.7 kW. The socket version means you use your car's own Type 2 cable, which the station secures with an automatic locking pin. Supplied without a front plate.
Who the 11 kW socket suits
This is the choice for a home with a standard three-phase supply and a car whose on-board AC charger is 11 kW or less – a more powerful station would not charge such a car any faster. The socket is convenient when cars change (two family cars, guests, rentals) or when you want a clean wall without a permanently hanging cable. If you do not want to take the cable out of the boot every time, choose the 11 kW cable variant; if the car charges at 22 kW or the station is for a business, the 22 kW socket.
Supply and installation
The manufacturer recommends a 20 A circuit breaker and a Type A 30 mA RCD or RCBO ahead of the station – they are not included. Supply cable 6–10 mm², entering from below or from the wall side. Housing 190 × 125 × 401 mm, 4.6 kg, IP56 and IK10, operating from −30 °C to +50 °C, so it also suits an outdoor wall by the house. Mounted with the metal bracket from the box; a pole is purchased separately. If the supply is weaker, the installer switch limits the current to 6, 10 or 13 A.
Dynamic load balancing and solar
The 11 kW box contains no CT clamps, so dynamic load management needs either separately purchased clamps or a compatible meter: Eastron SDM72D-M (RS-485), Shelly Pro 3EM or Eastron SEM3 WL (over the network). With a meter that measures export to the grid, the Solar only, ECO and ECO+ modes work – the car charges on PV surplus, and when less than 6 A per phase remains, the station switches to single-phase charging. A separate support call for private charging stations is planned; the previous programme required dynamic load management.
Connectivity, control and warranty
Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, Ethernet and 4G LTE (nano SIM); NFC card and tag in the box; control via the Teltonika EV Charging app or an OCPP 1.6 back end. Built-in 6 mA DC residual current protection (IEC 62955). Warranty 36 months, extendable to 60 months at purchase.
