Description

Teltonika EVC 2 11 kW with a tethered 5 m Type 2 cable (manufacturer code EVC2001120S0) is the most convenient variant for one car parked every day in the same garage or yard. Electrically it is the same as the 11 kW socket version: up to 16 A per phase on three phases, 3.7 kW on a single-phase supply, but the cable is always in place and after charging the plug hangs in the holder supplied in the box. Supplied without a front plate.

Why a cable rather than a socket

With a tethered cable the car's own cable stays in the boot for trips, and at home charging starts with one movement – that matters when you charge daily, in the dark or in the rain. The socket version is worth choosing only when many different cars will use the station. 11 kW is enough for a car whose on-board charger is 11 kW or less; if the car supports 22 kW or you want headroom for the next car, choose the 22 kW cable variant, whose box already includes CT clamps.

Cable length and mounting position

The 5 m cable must reach the car's charging port, which on different makes is at the front, side or rear, so mount the station where the car will always be parked the same way round. The manufacturer also has a 7.5 m version (code EVC2001130S0). Housing 190 × 125 × 401 mm, 4.6 kg without cable, IP56 and IK10, operating temperature −30 °C to +50 °C. The one-piece front plate for the cable version is purchased separately.

Supply and protection

The manufacturer recommends a 20 A circuit breaker and a Type A 30 mA RCD or RCBO ahead of the station; supply cable 6–10 mm². The station has built-in 6 mA DC residual current protection (IEC 62955), ground fault detection, voltage and current monitoring, and draws 3 W in standby.

App, solar and warranty

Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, Ethernet and 4G LTE (nano SIM); in the Teltonika EV Charging app you set schedules and peak-hour limits and see statistics. With a separately purchased compatible meter (Eastron SDM72D-M, Shelly Pro 3EM, Eastron SEM3 WL) dynamic load balancing and the Solar only, ECO and ECO+ solar modes work. A separate support call for private charging stations is planned; the previous programme required dynamic load management. Warranty 36 months, extendable to 60 months at purchase.
