Description

The SolaX X3-EVC-11K(PLC) is a three-phase 11 kW charging station with a fixed 6.5 m Type 2 cable and an LCD screen. It draws 16 A on three phases and is intended for a house with a three-phase supply where the car charges overnight or from PV surplus. Dynamic load management needs a three-phase CT or a SolaX meter – a three-phase CT is included in the box.

When 11 kW is enough

If your car's on-board charger takes up to 11 kW, this station delivers everything it can take – the 22 kW variant would not charge it any faster. 16 A per phase is a moderate load: more supply capacity stays for the house, and in the line a Type A RCBO 4P ≥20 A (≤30 mA) and a five-core ≥4 mm² copper cable are sufficient. If the car has a 22 kW charger or different cars will use the station, choose the 22 kW version.

Grid measurement and solar modes

The three-phase CT clips onto the incoming conductors and the station sees the whole house load: in FAST mode it charges at full permitted power, ECO balances with house consumption, GREEN uses PV surplus (start level 3 A or 6 A; at the 6 A level no grid power is drawn). Smart Boost and Timer Boost raise the power temporarily when the car is needed sooner. With a SolaX inverter from the official list (X1/X3-Hybrid G4, X3-Ultra, X1/X3-IES, X3-MIC G2 and others) the station is linked by a two-core cable and receives the PV data from the inverter; with another manufacturer's PV plant it works from the CT readings.

LCD screen and app

The screen shows the status and charging progress, the language is selected in the app; in OCPP mode the screen shows a QR code. In the SolaXCloud app you set the mode, timers and delayed start. Charging starts when the plug is inserted or with an RFID card (two in the box). Connectivity – Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz or Ethernet; OCPP 1.6 JSON (a meter is required).

Installation and safety

Housing 265 × 155 × 370 mm, 8 kg, IP65 / IK08. Because of the screen the operating temperature is −20 °C to +50 °C – suitable for a garage and a yard wall; for a very exposed site where the cold goes below −20 °C, the variant without a screen is intended. Mounted on a wall (bracket included) or on a separately purchased SolaX pedestal. Built-in 30 mA AC / 6 mA DC residual current monitoring, overvoltage, overload, short-circuit and over-temperature protection. Warranty – 3 years under the EU terms; register on SolaX Cloud within 90 days of commissioning.
