Description

The SolaX X3-EVC Smart EV Charger is a three-phase EV charging station with a fixed 6.5 m Type 2 cable, intended for a house yard, a garage and a company car park. We offer two commercial-edition variants: 11 kW (16 A) with an LCD screen and 22 kW (32 A) without a screen. Both connect to a three-phase supply (3/N/PE, 230/400 V), have an IP65 housing for outdoor mounting and are controlled with the SolaXCloud app.

Which variant to choose

The 11 kW variant draws 16 A on three phases – a moderate load for a house supply – and gives a car with an 11 kW on-board charger everything it can take. The 22 kW variant draws up to 32 A and is meant for cars with a 22 kW charger and for places where different cars charge; it needs a larger breaker (4P ≥40 A) and 6 mm² cable. The environment differs too: the model with LCD works from −20 °C, the model without a screen from −30 °C.

Dynamic load management

The station reduces charging power in real time so that the total house load does not exceed the main breaker limit. This needs grid measurement: a three-phase CT (included with the 11 kW model, bought separately for the 22 kW model), a SolaX meter, or communication with a compatible SolaX inverter. The FAST, ECO and GREEN modes (PV surplus; start level 3 A or 6 A, no grid power at the 6 A level), Smart Boost, Timer Boost, delayed start and timers let you charge at chosen hours or from your own PV plant.

Compatibility with SolaX inverters

The official SolaX list includes the hybrid X1/X3-Hybrid G4, X1/X3-IES, X3-HYB G4 Pro, X1-Vast and X3-Ultra and the string X3-MIC G2, X3-Pro G2, X1-Mini G3/G4, X1-Boost G3/G4 and X1-Smart G2; the link is a two-core cable via RJ45. With another manufacturer's PV plant the station works from the CT or meter readings.

Connectivity, RFID and OCPP

Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz or Ethernet, an integrated RFID reader with two cards in the box, and OCPP 1.6 JSON for connecting to an operator platform (a meter in the system is required).

Safety, warranty and support scheme

Built-in 30 mA AC / 6 mA DC residual current monitoring, overvoltage, overload and over-temperature protection; a Type A RCBO is installed in the line. Manufacturer warranty – 3 years under the EU terms, with registration on SolaX Cloud within 90 days. A separate support call for private charging stations is planned; the previous programme required dynamic load management.
