Description

The SolaX X1-Hybrid-6.0-D is a 6 kW single-phase hybrid inverter from the HYBRID G4 series: in one housing, two MPPT inputs for up to 12 kWp of modules, a high-voltage (80–480 V) battery port and a backup power (EPS) output. It is the model for a home with a single-phase supply where storage is installed together with the PV system or the existing grid inverter is replaced so that a battery can be connected.

Solar, battery and backup in one

The inverter feeds 6,000 W into the grid (up to 6,600 VA, 26.1 A), charges and discharges the battery at up to 30 A continuous, and can charge from the grid at up to 9,200 VA on a time-of-use (ToU) schedule. When the grid fails, the EPS output takes over the loads connected to it in less than 10 ms: rated backup power 6,000 VA, 10 s peak 9,000 VA for starting motor loads. The D version supplies a load panel connected to the EPS output; for whole-house backup the manufacturer provides the M version with an external X1-Matebox.

Module and string design

Two MPPTs at 16 A each accept up to 12 kWp, but no more than 5,000 W per MPPT, so the modules have to be split into two strings. The MPPT window is 70–550 V, full power is available at 225–480 V, start-up from 90 V, maximum efficiency 97.6 %. Of the three X1 models, the hybrid accepts the most modules – the daytime surplus is charged into the battery.

Compatible batteries

SolaX publishes battery compatibility in its knowledge base: the X1-Hybrid-6.0-D officially works with SolaX Triple Power T30 (1–4 modules) and T58 (1–3 modules) and with T-BAT HS25 / HS36 / HS51 / HS51O (2–8 modules); BMS communication is CAN or RS485. We connect another manufacturer's storage only from the official SolaX list – we check before ordering. The battery power cable is supplied with the battery.

Mounting and communication

The housing measures 482 × 181 × 417 mm, weighs 24 kg, is rated IP65 and is wall-mounted, with natural cooling and noise below 30 dB; operating temperature from −35 °C to +60 °C. Measuring the grid flow requires a SolaX DDSU666 meter or a CT clamp (separately); monitoring via SolaX Cloud with a Pocket WiFi. A generator via ATS and parallel operation up to 15 kW are supported.

Safety and warranty

Lockable DC switch, DC and AC surge protection, insulation and residual current monitoring, anti-islanding; IEC/EN 62109-1/-2, EN 50549. Warranty 5 years, with a SolaX Cloud connection – 10 years free of charge.
