Description

The SolaX X1-6.0K-T-D(L) is a 6 kW single-phase grid inverter from the BOOST G3 series with two MPPT inputs, a DC switch and an LCD display on the housing. It delivers up to 6,600 VA and accepts up to 9 kWp of solar modules (150 % oversizing), so it is the model for a 6–9 kWp system in a home with a single-phase supply, where no storage is planned and the generated energy is used on site or exported to the grid.

Power and string design

Two independent MPPTs (one string each, up to 14 A per tracker) let you place the modules on two different roof planes – for example east and west – and track each one's maximum power point separately. The MPPT works in the 70–580 V range, full power is available from 230 V, the inverter starts at 100 V, and the maximum string voltage is 600 V. Compared with the X1-BOOST-5K-G4, this model gives 1 kW more AC power (rated current 26.1 A instead of 21.7 A), but needs longer strings and accepts less module oversizing (9 kWp instead of 10 kWp). Maximum efficiency is 97.8 %, European efficiency 97.0 %.

Mounting and location

The housing measures 341.5 × 143 × 430 mm, weighs 15 kg, is rated IP66 and is wall-mounted with the bracket supplied. Cooling is natural, without a fan, typical noise 30 dB, so the inverter can also hang indoors next to living rooms. Operating temperature from −25 °C to +60 °C (derating above 45 °C), night-time consumption below 2 W.

Communication and monitoring

Interfaces: RS485, DRM and USB for updates; the LCD shows the parameters locally. Remote monitoring via SolaX Cloud requires a SolaX Pocket WiFi, LAN or 4G dongle – we will confirm the package contents when you order. With a SolaX CT clamp or meter (purchased separately) an export limit to the grid is set; the firmware is updated remotely. This model has no battery port – if storage is planned, choose the X1-Hybrid-6.0-D.

Safety and warranty

Built-in AC/DC surge protection, residual current monitoring, insulation and ground fault monitoring, anti-islanding, 110 % overload capability; complies with IEC/EN 62109-1/-2 and EN 50549. The manufacturer's warranty is 5 years, extended free of charge to 10 years when connected to SolaX Cloud.
