Description

The Sungrow SG10RT-P2 is a 10 kW three-phase grid inverter for a home with a permitted generation capacity of 10 kW. It accepts up to 15 kWp of solar modules in three strings – two connected to MPPT input A, one to MPPT B – and delivers up to 11 kVA, 16.7 A per phase, into the 3/N/PE 400 V grid. It is the only fanless model in the series: the 18 kg IP65 enclosure is cooled by natural convection, so it suits a house wall or a garage. A battery cannot be connected to this inverter – storage requires a hybrid inverter.

Three strings for two roof faces

MPPT input A accepts up to 32 A of operating current (two strings at 16 A each, 40 A short-circuit), input B 16 A (one string, 20 A), so two strings of the same orientation (e.g. the south roof) go to A and the string of the other roof face to B; the manufacturer specifies that the strings on one input must have the same number of modules, tilt and orientation. A single MPPT can deliver up to 11 kW, so even an asymmetrical roof is used in full. The inverter delivers full power at a string voltage of 320–850 V – the lowest full-power threshold in the series, allowing shorter strings than the 15 and 20 kW models. MPPT range 160–1 000 V, maximum voltage 1 100 V.

How it differs from the 15 kW model

Fanless and 4 kg lighter, with three (not four) pairs of MC4 connectors in the box and the AC connector intended for models below 15 kW. European efficiency 97.8 % (15 kW – 97.9 %), maximum efficiency the same 98.3 %. If more than 15 kWp of modules is planned or four strings are needed, choose the SG15RT-P2.

Communication and control

Monitoring and commissioning – in the iSolarCloud app via the included WiNet-S (or WiNet-S2) module in the COM1 port (Wi-Fi or Ethernet); LED indicator. With a DTSU666, DTSU666-20 or DTSD1352-C meter connected to the inverter's COM2 connector (RS485 A2/B2), the inverter limits export to the grid.

Mounting and warranty

The fanless enclosure is fixed with the included bracket indoors or outdoors (IP65); the manufacturer specifies that all models in the series must not be installed in bedrooms or other noise-sensitive rooms. On the AC side – a plug-in connector for 4–6 mm² cable and a 25 A circuit breaker, on the DC side – MC4 connectors for up to 6 mm². Manufacturer warranty under the Sungrow Deutschland GmbH distribution terms – 10 years when installed in EU countries, including Lithuania.
