Description

The SolaX X3-HAC-22S is a three-phase 22 kW charging station with a Type 2 socket instead of a tethered cable, a white cover and a three-phase CT clamp in the box. The current is adjustable from 6 to 32 A (1.4–22 kW) and the housing is the lightest in the family at 3 kg. This is the version for shared locations: an apartment-building or company car park, a guest parking space where each driver connects with their own cable, and also a home where you want a tidy wall without a hanging lead.

Socket instead of cable

A charging cable is not supplied – a Type 2 to Type 2 cable is needed. Choose a 32 A cable: with a 16 A cable you get no more than 11 kW on three phases. SolaX's accessory range includes a separate 7.5 m Type 2 cable (16/32 A). If the cable is to stay in the station permanently, the socket lock is enabled in the app – the cable is locked in the socket and the station is used like a tethered one; this function exists only on the socket version.

Location and protection rating

The socket version's housing is IP54 (the cable versions are IP65): the manufacturer rates it for indoor and outdoor installation, but outdoors give preference to a sheltered spot; operating temperature −30 °C to +50 °C, IK10 impact resistance. Dimensions 206 × 139 × 390 mm; the box contains 4 expansion tubes with screws, a base plate, an RJ45 adapter and two RFID cards – there is no cable hook, as none is needed.

Power, supply and several users

Full 22 kW requires a 4P ≥40 A breaker and a Type A ≤30 mA RCD; dynamic load balancing keeps the supply current 5 A below the limit set in the app. Users are identified by RFID card (up to 10 cards stored offline, unlimited when online), by app or simply by plugging in the car; OCPP 1.6j lets charging be accounted for via an operator platform. In the Standard scene up to 20 identical stations can be connected, in the Solar scene two.

Solar modes and warranty

Green, Eco (6–25 A) and Fast modes work with grid data from a SolaX inverter communicating with the station, from a meter or from the supplied CT; with phase switching, Green starts from 1.4 kW. Integrated 30 mA AC and 6 mA DC residual-current monitoring, over-voltage, overload, short-circuit and over-temperature protection. The manufacturer's warranty for the EU market is 3 years. A separate support call is planned for private charging stations; the previous programme required dynamic load management.
