Description
The SolaX X3-HAC-22P is a three-phase 22 kW charging station with a tethered 6.5 m Type 2 cable, a white cover and a three-phase CT clamp in the box. The current is adjustable from 6 to 32 A (1.4–22 kW) – the most powerful X3-HAC version with a cable, intended for a home with two EVs or a car that accepts 22 kW AC, and for a company car park where the car must be charged within working hours.
Who needs 22 kW
Full power requires a 4P ≥40 A breaker and a Type A ≤30 mA RCD. If the supply is more modest, dynamic load balancing limits the power: the main-breaker limit is set in the app and the station keeps the supply current 5 A below it while the cooker or heat pump runs at the same time. Compared with the X3-HAC-11P, Eco mode here has five levels (6, 10, 16, 20 and 25 A), so you can meter the extra grid power more finely.
Two stations and business scenarios
In the Solar scene two X3-HAC stations work as a pair (primary and secondary) and share the solar surplus – the solution for a two-EV household. In the Standard scene with a CT or meter up to 20 stations of the same model and firmware can be connected, and OCPP 1.6j lets you link the station to an operator platform and account for employee or guest charging. If billing requires a MID meter, it is connected separately via RS485 – it is not in the box.
Solar modes and the inverter
Green mode starts from 4.2 kW of surplus, or from 1.4 kW with automatic phase switching. Grid and PV data come from a SolaX inverter communicating with the station via RS485 (COM1), from a meter or from the supplied CT; with a zero-export requirement the link to the inverter is mandatory. We confirm the inverter model before the order.
Installation, safety, warranty
The housing is 206 × 139 × 390 mm, 6.5 kg, IP65, IK10, operating from −30 °C to +50 °C; the box contains 6 expansion tubes with screws, a cable hook, an RJ45 adapter and two RFID cards. Integrated 30 mA AC and 6 mA DC residual-current monitoring, over-voltage, overload, short-circuit and over-temperature protection, relay weld detection. The manufacturer's warranty for the EU market is 3 years. A separate support call is planned for private charging stations; the previous programme required dynamic load management.
