Description

The SolaX X3-HAC-11P is a three-phase 11 kW charging station with a tethered 6.5 m Type 2 cable, a white decorative cover and a three-phase CT clamp in the box. The current is adjustable from 6 to 16 A (1.4–11 kW), making it the version for a home with one EV and a solar plant, where the car is charged overnight or from solar surplus and the supply has limited headroom.

When 11 kW is enough

AC charging speed is limited by the car's on-board charger: if it accepts up to 11 kW, a 22 kW station will not charge any faster. This station needs only a 4P ≥20 A breaker and a Type A ≤30 mA RCD – the lowest supply requirement of all X3-HAC versions. If your car charges at 22 kW or you plan a second EV, choose the X3-HAC-22P.

Charging from solar surplus

In Green mode a three-phase station starts from 4.2 kW of surplus; with automatic phase switching enabled in the app it switches to a single phase and starts charging from as little as 1.4 kW – important with a small plant or on a cloudy day. In Eco mode the 11 kW version is set to 6 A or 10 A, with the shortfall topped up from the grid; Fast mode delivers full power. The station takes grid data from a SolaX inverter communicating with it (RS485), from a meter or from the supplied CT; if your plant has a zero-export requirement, the link to the inverter is mandatory. We check your inverter model before the order.

Installation and cable

The housing is 206 × 139 × 390 mm, 6.5 kg, IP65 and IK10 – rated by the manufacturer for indoor and outdoor installation, operating from −30 °C to +50 °C. The box contains 6 expansion tubes with screws, a base plate, an RJ45 adapter, two RFID cards and a cable hook. The tethered cable suits a fixed parking space – you plug in the car without your own cable.

Safety and warranty

Integrated 30 mA AC and 6 mA DC residual-current monitoring, over-voltage, overload, short-circuit, earthing and over-temperature protection, relay weld detection and padlock theft protection. The manufacturer's warranty for the EU market is 3 years. A separate support call is planned for private charging stations; the previous programme required dynamic load management.
