Description

The Deye SUN-15K-SG05LP3-EU-SM2 is a three-phase 15 kW hybrid inverter for low-voltage (40–60 V) batteries with two battery inputs. It is the variant for a large home with a heat pump, a farm or a workshop where the solar array reaches 15–24 kW and the storage is built from two groups of low-voltage batteries. IP65 enclosure, 51.9 kg, wall-mounted indoors or outdoors.

Power and array size

Rated power 15 kW (16.5 kVA), output current 21.8 A per phase, 24 A maximum. Two MPP trackers with two strings each accept 36 A apiece, operating window 160–650 V – wider than the 10 kW model's 200–650 V, so shorter module strings also work; input up to 800 V. Up to 24 kW is used from the array, and up to 30 kWp of modules can be connected. If the permitted generation capacity is 10 kW and the array does not exceed 16 kW, the 10 kW variant is enough.

Two battery groups and backup

Two battery inputs split up to 280 A of charge and discharge current across two cable pairs – with a 48 V class battery that is roughly 13–14 kW; the storage can be expanded in stages. When the grid fails a 30 kW peak is held for 10 s, up to 7.5 kW is delivered to a single phase, and with the grid present 70 A per phase is passed through the inverter to the loads – more than the 10 kW model's 45 A, so a larger share of the distribution board can stay behind the inverter. Up to 10 inverters can run in parallel – up to 150 kW.

Battery compatibility

In Deye's list DY-LV48-0128 the SUN-14/15/16/18/20K-SG05LP3-EU-SM2 are named with batteries from Deye, BYD Battery-Box LV, LG RESU, Pylontech, Dyness B4850 and A48100, Pytes, FoxESS and others; communication is CAN or RS485, with lithium mode 00 in the inverter. In Dyness's list (2026-07-15) this model group is confirmed with the PowerBrick Plus. We agree the battery configuration before the order.

Installation, safety and warranty

Dimensions 456 × 268.5 × 750 mm (width × depth × height), weight 51.9 kg, fixed with 4 M8×80 bolts (included). Fan cooling, noise up to 60 dB, clearance of 50 cm at the sides, above and below, 100 cm in front. The box contains three current clamps (4 m), a battery temperature sensor and a parallel communication cable; the Wi-Fi datalogger is ordered separately. Type II arresters on the DC and AC side, integrated DC switch, operation from −40 °C to +60 °C. Manufacturer's warranty – 5 years from the installation date under the international Deye terms.
