Description

The SolaX X3-PRO-30K-G2 is a 30 kW three-phase grid inverter for a production hall, farm, warehouse or apartment-building roof. Three MPPT inputs with two strings each accept up to 45 kWp of modules (150 % oversizing), and the DC voltage limit is raised to 1 100 V. The unit measures 482 × 186 × 417 mm, weighs 28 kg, is IP66 rated and is wall-mounted outdoors or in a technical room. It is a grid inverter with no battery port.

Six strings and longer circuits

Each of the three MPPTs accepts up to 32 A (short-circuit current up to 40 A) and handles up to 15 kW, so one input takes two strings of the same orientation, while different roof faces go to separate MPPTs. Full power is reached in the 500–850 V range, start-up from 200 V, maximum voltage 1 100 V – strings can be longer than on the 10 kW model. There is no overload margin on the AC side: apparent power equals 30 kVA and rated current is 43.5 A at 400 V, so the cable and breaker are sized exactly for this figure.

How it differs from the MIC 10K

Besides three MPPTs and the higher voltage limit, the PRO series has type II surge protection on both the DC and AC side as standard, a Modbus RTU (RS485) interface for integration into the site's energy management, and higher efficiency – 98.5 % maximum, 98.0 % European. The enclosure is heavier and noise reaches 58 dB, so the inverter is best placed in a technical area rather than next to an office. If the site permit is 10 kW or up to 20 kWp of modules is planned, the X3-MIC-10K-G2 is sufficient.

Control and expansion

With a SolaX meter, export power control works down to zero feed-in. SolaX Cloud monitoring runs through a WiFi, LAN or 4G dongle plugged into the USB port (it is not part of the manufacturer's standard package), and the DRM input is for the grid operator's signal. Several inverters can be connected in parallel through the SolaX DataHub.
