Description

The SolaX X3-MGA-50K-G2 is a three-phase 50 kW grid inverter with five MPP trackers, intended for a commercial solar array of 50 to 75 kWp. It is the variant for a site whose grid connection terms permit 50 kW of generation: a workshop, warehouse or shopping centre with high daily consumption. The inverter has no battery port and no transformer; the IP66 enclosure is fixed to a wall outdoors or indoors.

Power and array size

Rated power 50 kW (50 kVA), 72.5 A per phase; with the 110 % margin the inverter delivers up to 55 kVA and 79.7 A. Five MPP trackers accept two strings each – 10 strings, 32 A per tracker; input voltage up to 1 100 V, operating range 180–1 000 V, start-up from 200 V. 150 % oversizing is allowed – up to 75 kWp. If the roof holds more or the strings need to be split across six inputs, choose the X3-MGA-60K-G2; when the permitted capacity exceeds 60 kW – several inverters in parallel through the SolaX DataHub.

Efficiency and grid control

Maximum efficiency 98.4 %, European efficiency 98.1 %, night-time consumption below 2 W. The power factor is adjustable between 0.8 and 1. With a meter on the RS485 line the inverter limits export down to zero, compensates reactive power at night, monitors the current of every string and performs remote I–V curve diagnosis – a faulty string is found without climbing onto the roof.

Installation and package

Enclosure 630 × 286 × 521 mm (W×D×H), 45 kg; a single inverter needs 60 cm above and below, 80 cm at the sides and 100 cm in front, and an awning is recommended outdoors. Operation from −25 °C to +60 °C. On the AC side – a five-core 35–50 mm² copper or 50–70 mm² aluminium cable up to 200 m, breaker greater than 1.25 × 72.5 A. The package contains the wall bracket, 10 pairs of PV connectors, tools and bolts; OT terminals and the monitoring dongle (Wi-Fi / LAN / 4G) – separately, we confirm this when you order. The model has no LCD: four LEDs show the status, and settings are changed remotely.

Safety and warranty

Type II surge protection on the DC and AC sides, a lockable DC switch, insulation, residual current, polarity, over-temperature and anti-islanding monitoring; compliance with EN 50549. EU warranty – 5 years; when connected to SolaX Cloud and uploading generation data, 1 further year of parts warranty is added. Registration at eu.solaxcloud.com within 90 days of commissioning.
