Description

The Eastron SDM72D-M is a three-phase DIN-rail smart energy meter for home and small-business switchboards. It connects directly without current transformers, measures up to 100 A on 3x230/400 V networks and takes just 4 modules (72 mm) of rail space. Measurement is bidirectional: imported and exported energy are counted separately, while voltage, current and power are shown per phase. Data is read over RS485 using Modbus RTU (up to 64 devices, up to 1000 m), and a pulse output is included (1000 imp/kWh by default). Accuracy is Class 1 to IEC 62053-21 and Class B to EN 50470-3, the meter is MID certified under Directive 2014/32/EU, and the front panel is rated IP51. Teltonika Energy lists the SDM72D-M V2 as a supported meter for TeltoCharge and EVC2 dynamic load balancing and solar integration. Fitted in the main cabinet, it lets the charger cap its output to the real household load.
