Description

The VOOL LMC 50A is a DIN-rail load management controller for homes and businesses that lets VOOL EV charging stations use the full grid connection without ever overloading it. Three split-core 50 A current transformers in the box clip onto the incoming lines without disconnecting any cables and measure the load on all three phases. The controller works out the remaining power, reacts in under 50 ms, shares it among up to 64 chargers and shifts charging onto a less loaded phase. It talks to the chargers over CAN or the local network (Ethernet, Wi-Fi), goes online by cable, Wi-Fi or optional 4G, and keeps balancing even when the internet drops. The unit takes 3.5 modules, runs on 90–265 V AC and is rated IP22, so it belongs in an indoor switchboard. The main fuse rating is set in the VOOL portal. Measuring the flow at the grid connection point, the LMC lets a VOOL charger run your car on surplus from a home solar plant.
